Universal Drilling and Cutting Equipment - Darnall

We first started working with UDCE (Universal Drilling and Cutting Equipment) on an ad-hoc basis, undertaking repairs to one of their network servers. We immediately advised Steve Bracey at UDCE that the server was underspecified, not fit for purpose and suggested a significant upgrade.

We supplied and configured a high end HP Proliant server, with hardware RAID 5, running Windows Server 2003 SBS, integrated the new server into the network, and supported the migration of the current SQL data across to it. The server was equipped with a fast, high capacity Ultrium tape drive, and Veritas (now Symantec) Backup Exec software. We replaced the current firewall, and consolidated all the existing backoffice IT equipment into a dedicated server cabinet. Net Therapy monitor the network 24x7x365, and our staff are alerted to any issues that arise with the new server.

Testimonial

"Net Therapy introduced me to a new term in computers. Robust. What does it mean when you use it to describe a computer network? It means trying to build a computer network that does not break down. Before finding Network Therapy my main concern with computer companies was how quickly they would respond to the computer breakdown I knew would happen with monotonous regularity. Net Therapy took the novel approach of building a robust network. I am sure sometime in the future some unforeseen event will happen and I will come to work to discover our computer network not running. However to date we have survived two power cuts and a particularly severe electrical storm which appeared to cause problems with everything else electrical."
